This song shows the frustration of a person that knows God's will then when life happens, he fails. It reminds me of the verse in Romans 7:18-25 where Paul says the following:
"I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. The Heart of Worship - Matt Redman
The song dates back to the late 1990s, born from a period of apathy within Matt Redman's home church, Soul Survivor, in Watford, England. Despite the country's overall contribution to the current worship revival, Redman's congregation was struggling to find meaning in its musical outpouring at the time.
"There was a dynamic missing, so the pastor did a pretty brave thing," he recalls. "He decided to get rid of the sound system and band for a season, and we gathered together with just our voices. His point was that we'd lost our way in worship, and the way to get back to the heart would be to strip everything away."
Reminding his church family to be producers in worship, not just consumers, the pastor, Mike Pilavachi, asked, "When you come through the doors on a Sunday, what are you bringing as your offering to God?"
Matt says the question initially led to some embarrassing silence, but eventually people broke into a cappella songs and heartfelt prayers, encountering God in a fresh way.
"Before long, we reintroduced the musicians and sound system, as we'd gained a new perspective that worship is all about Jesus, and He commands a response in the depths of our souls no matter what the circumstance and setting. 'The Heart of Worship' simply describes what occurred."
When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come / Longing just to bring something that's of worth that will bless your heart. / I'm coming back to the heart of worship, and it's all about You, Jesus.

Wholly Yours - David Crowder
This song by David Crowder is one of my favorites. He uses a play on words to say that God is holy and I am wholly Yours. His lyrics are extremely deep with meanings far beyond the words. For example, he says:
"I am full of earth
You are heaven’s worth
I am stained with dirt, prone to depravity
You are everything that is bright and clean
The antonym of me
You are divinity
But a certain sign of grace is this
From a broken earth flowers come up
Pushing through the dirt"
Even though I am full of earth and dirt, I can be born again!!

Awesome song that reminds us to praise God through the storms (not for the storms) of life. Taught sign by sign so that anyone can learn. Great for a group or individual! Our deaf choir did this song with one person signing the verses, another person signing God's part (including the wiping of the tears) and the rest of the choir signing the chorus as a group. It was beautiful!

The Christmas Shoes - NewSong
Sweet Christmas song about a little boy who wants to buy some Christmas shoes for his mom because he wants her to look beautiful when she meets Jesus tonight. This song can be done as a drama or individually. In the drama one person can sign the clerk's part, another for the boy and one more for the man who helps out the boy. A choir can sign the chorus or just the boy alone.

"We recieved the DVD yesterday and it is GREAT! Our Son who is 11 has a burden for sign language ministry in our church. He was in with a group (Hands of Praise) but their teacher has unfortunatly stepped down. He was so disappointed. I told him that if he had the burden to continue on, then God would give him the knowledge to do it and maybe he would be the next leader.
He loves this song that we purchased and sat in front of the T.V. all evening and was still doing the new signs he learned this morning as he got on the bus.
